I am going next month for Full Specialist, I love nails and skin! I am 20 (21 in 5 weeks) and last year decided that I wanted to go to school to be in the beauty industry finally, after putting it off long enough. Everyone told me, 'why not do the whole sha-bam and just go for the full cosmetology course?' That is when I signed up in a top 'name brand' school and found out it was 90% hair, 10% what I really wanted to do. No kidding - we literally had a spa WEEK. I wouldn't be learning how to fully do nails and skin to get a license for it (we were only learning basic facials, mani/pedi, facial waxing!) To make a long story short, it took me calling (what felt like a million schools) to get financial aid since the course is only so many hours. But alas, I found the perfect school and like I said, I start next month!
